Urban foxes are notorious for being bold opportunists — but the residents of Notting Hill in London were still surprised to see this sleeping fox high in the sky in broad daylight.
It was spotted by London resident Rachel Johnson, an author and sister to the London Mayor, Boris Johnson.
How it got up and down are a mystery, but Johnson has a theory: “It must have got up via the scaffolding on the house next door,” she told the Evening Standard.
“People were coming out of their houses with telephoto cameras – but luckily no-one decided to shoot it!”
It was rather a sitting duck there on the ledge. There are lots of them in the neighbourhood, always in the gardens — they seem to own the place. But when I saw this one it was hard to feel the same sense of rage.”
