Howard Stern resurfaced for a rare public appearance alongside his wife Beth Stern at a Hamptons concert.
The 72-year-old radio host and Beth, 54, attended John Mayer’s SiriusXM performance at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York, on Wednesday night. They walked hand-in-hand into the venue, smiling at photographers in footage that circulated afterward. Howard dressed casually in a navy button-up and black pants, while Beth wore a white tank top and skirt with a brown YSL cross-body purse.
Beth posted a selfie of the couple smiling at the concert to Instagram that night. “I’m in love,” she captioned the post with a red heart emoji.
The outing marked Stern’s first public appearance in nearly a year. He and Beth last stepped out together at the launch of the “Maximum Metallica” channel on SiriusXM at the same Stephen Talkhouse venue on August 28.
The couple’s united front follows months of legal turmoil. Their former assistant Leslie Kuhn sued them in April, alleging they created a hostile work environment and seeking $2.5 million in damages. Kuhn began working for Stern in 2022 as an office manager for “The Howard Stern Show” before becoming his executive assistant, but was terminated earlier this year.
Kuhn’s lawsuit detailed what she described as “immense pressure” from managing Howard and Beth’s Southampton home and assisting Beth with an “extensive at-home feline rescue and fostering operations.” She also claimed Stern’s production company, One Twelve, presented her with a nondisclosure agreement she denies signing, and alleged both her firing and the NDA were “manufactured by the Defendants in general and Beth Stern in particular.”
Weeks after the suit was filed, Howard moved to dismiss it. In court documents, he dubbed the lawsuit a “shakedown” and “transparent sham.” His lawyer stated at the time, “The Sterns are entitled to enforce non-disclosure agreements signed by employees who enter their home and their private life.”
Last month, Howard and Beth scored a partial legal victory when a judge ruled against Kuhn’s allegations that One Twelve had forged NDAs with her name.
The lawsuit has not been the only source of workplace upheaval for Stern. Last month, he laid off around a dozen staffers from his SiriusXM show, as previously reported. Many of those former employees are now reportedly fighting for additional severance. The staff reductions came as Stern also scaled back his programming schedule to one new show per week.
In the viral moment that sparked broader attention to Stern’s workplace practices, the layoffs followed what sources described as warnings to remaining staff that they were “not allowed” to speak to the host at parties, adding to the atmosphere of tension surrounding his operation.
The Hamptons concert appearance suggests the couple is continuing their social routine despite the ongoing litigation. John Mayer’s SiriusXM performance drew other A-list attendees including Andy Cohen and Brooke Shields.
