Barbara Eden, 95, made her first public outing since a medication reaction forced her to cancel a scheduled appearance in September.
The “I Dream of Jeannie” star was spotted Saturday in Los Angeles, where she stepped out of her car dressed in black with a red jacket draped over her arm. She accessorized with a turquoise necklace, matching earrings, and black wedge heels.
That same day, Eden attended the Hollywood Show, an autograph and pop culture expo where she greeted fans. The event’s Instagram account shared video of her appearance.
“What a ray of sunshine Ms Eden is! Beautiful inside and out. And there is no way she is in her 90s!” one fan remarked in the comments.
“She is definitely as beautiful as ever and she doesn’t look 95 at all ❤️,” another wrote. A separate commenter added, “Looking gorgeous at her age god bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️ to you Barbara Eden.”

The outing came nearly two months after Eden abruptly withdrew from the Cinecon Classic Film Festival in early September. Event organizers announced at the time that the actress would miss the ceremony due to a “sudden illness.”
Eden had been scheduled to accept the Cinecon Legacy Award at the festival. Pat Boone, who starred alongside her in 1961’s “All Hands on Deck” and 1963’s “The Yellow Canary,” accepted the honor on her behalf.
The “Harper Valley PTA” actress took to Instagram after news of her withdrawal spread to clarify what had happened. She reassured followers she was “okay” and pushed back against reports that she was seriously ill.
“Oh, my goodness there has been a bit of miscommunication,” her statement began. “I’m not suffering from an illness; my doctor very recently prescribed a brand-new medication that turned out to have some nasty side effects.”
“Due to the discomfort, my doctor ordered me to remain at home until it can be sorted out,” she added.

Eden called the situation “awful timing” and expressed her “deepest appreciation to everyone for the concern.”
“This is just a speedbump!” she concluded her post. “I expect to be out and about as soon as I’m given the go-ahead!”

The actress made good on that promise Saturday, returning to the fan circuit where she has remained a popular draw. Her Hollywood Show appearance marked her first confirmed public outing since the medication issue sidelined her.
Eden, who celebrated her 95th birthday in August, has maintained an acting and singing career spanning more than seven decades. She is best known for playing the titular djinn on “I Dream of Jeannie” opposite Larry Hagman’s astronaut Anthony “Tony” Nelson on the hit NBC sitcom, which aired for five seasons between 1965 and 1970.

The series made Eden a household name and established her as one of television’s most enduring stars. She has continued to make regular convention and autograph appearances in recent years, maintaining close ties with her fanbase.
Her September cancellation had sparked concern among supporters given her age, but her Instagram explanation and swift return to public life appeared to put those worries to rest.

Boone, 90, who stepped in to accept her Cinecon award, has his own lengthy history in entertainment spanning pop music and film. The two performers’ shared screen credits date back more than six decades to the early 1960s.
Eden’s Saturday outing suggests she has received the medical clearance she was awaiting. She gave no indication of any ongoing issues as she met with fans at the expo.

Eden’s next scheduled appearance has not been publicly announced.
