Sometimes, we aren’t as thankful as we should be for all the blessings we’ve been given. We have food, water, shelter, and much more besides. Christmas is often a time when we’re most reminded of this, with the in-your-face advertisements and consumerism, which are more often than not directed at our children.
So seeing the looks of joy and uncontrollable excitement on the faces of these children from Burundi — who have just been given shoeboxes packed with colorful stationary and soft toys — is just priceless:
