This Incredibly Rare White Giraffe Has Been Spotted In Tanzania

Ever seen an albino giraffe? Us neither. But a 15-month-old white giraffe is causing a stir on the Internet due to her unusual skin condition.

Omo was spotted in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania this week.

She suffers from leucism, which causes loss of pigmentation and leaves her with white skin and a rather fetching orange hairdo.

Experts are a bit worried that Omo’s skin color might make her an easy target for poachers who hunt giraffes for bush meat.

So they’re working hard to give Omo and her family, who don’t mind Omo’s unusual color one bit, the best chance of survival.

Stay away naughty poachers, this beautiful giraffe has found a place in everyone’s hearts.
