Artist Curtis Wiklund set himself a challenge to draw something every single day for an entire year after his wife set her own 365-day photography project. So Curtis decided to sketch the intimate daily interactions with his beloved wife — you better get the tissues.

“During that year, many people told us they felt like they got to know us better through the drawings, like they were a peek into our personal life,” says Curtis.
Curtis drew everything from the little moments…
…to the really, really big ones.
He shed light on what happens when his wife’s away.
They know each other too well to care about bad hair days.
But that doesn’t mean they can’t surprise one another.
They feel comfortable being themselves, even if that means wearing ski goggles to chop onions.
And although they still have fights, they come out of them even closer (if that’s possible).
Because that’s what love’s all about (that and back scratching, obviously).
Curtis sketched old memories.
And new ones.
And he’s still dreaming about all the time he has to spend with his little family.
You can see more of Curtis’ drawings and find out about his book (out soon) at his website.
