This is James Charles, a 17-year-old aspiring makeup artist from New York, US, who’s YouTube and Instagram accounts have made him something of a celeb in the beauty world.

Just over a year ago, Charles set up his beauty accounts experimenting with makeup and offering tutorials. Now his crazy-popular accounts boast nearly half a million followers.

And he’s just been chosen as the first ever guy to be the face of legendary brand, CoverGirl.

“I started my account to post pictures of client makeup I did to get more gals during prom season,” explains James, “I never in a million years would’ve expected to be where I am today, or even working with CoverGirl.”
