Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Begin Romantic Paris Honeymoon After Vegas Wedding (Photos)

Despite having a small and understated wedding, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are going all out for their honeymoon. The couple is reportedly celebrating their beginning as husband and wife by travelling to Paris, where they are currently enjoying a luxurious stay.

On Thursday, July 21, only a few hours after the Marry Me actress and Argo director were seen staring out the window of their opulent hotel at the beautiful city, Jennifer, 52, and Ben, 49, went out to dinner in a hip area of Paris. Ben looked smart in a dark blue suit with a gold tie, while Jennifer wore a plunging red maxi dress for their date night.

Ben and Jennifer arrived in the afternoon wearing casual clothing and were immediately on the move after just touching down in the City of Light. They were holding hands as they walked from their car to their hotel. On July 24, Jennifer will be 53, thus it appears that the pair will also be spending their honeymoon in Europe.

Three months after announcing their second engagement on April 8, the couple wed in a small, private ceremony in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 16. Prior to calling off their wedding in September 2003 and ending their relationship the following year, their couple dated and was engaged in the early 2000s.

The renowned Little White Wedding Chapel in Sin City is where Jennifer and Ben exchanged vows. They even waited in line with other soon-to-be married couples to get their marriage licence.

J. Lo announced on her “On the JLo” newsletter that their wedding, which had taken nearly two decades to plan, finally happened. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind.  And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient” she stated.

“Exactly what we wanted,“ she said of their journey to the altar. “Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three-hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday — all of us wanting the same thing — for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”

“When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is one another and the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, loving and good to one another,” she added. “We had that. And so much more. Best night of our lives.”
