Jeremy Clarkson Reveals ‘Aggressive’ Cancer Diagnosis in Devastating New Clip

Jeremy Clarkson has disclosed that he is undergoing treatment for an “aggressive” cancer, with the revelation unfolding in an emotional moment alongside his Clarkson’s Farm co-stars in the newest episodes of the series.

The 66-year-old broadcaster, known from Top Gear and The Grand Tour, makes the disclosure in season five of Clarkson’s Farm, which began streaming on Prime Video on 3 June 2026. The episodes were filmed across 2024 and 2025 and follow a difficult period for Clarkson after his earlier heart scare and recovery.

During the episodes, Clarkson tells Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper the news while the three are talking through plans for the approaching harvest at Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds.

At another point in the episode, Clarkson explains how much of the disease has already been dealt with.

“ten percent”

of the cancer is

“dead,”

before adding:

“The 10 per cent where the cancer is.”

Clearly struggling with the situation, he also tells them:

“They’re really, really difficult.”

In the exchange, Clarkson lets out a breath and mutters an expletive before Kaleb asks whether he is “going away.”

Trying to hold it together, Clarkson answers:

“Yep. I’ve got cancer.”

Kaleb, caught off guard, replies:

“No, you haven’t. Where?”

Clarkson responds:

“Where it is of no concern of anybody. I’ve known since May.”

He then says the cancer is aggressive, although it was identified early, and explains that he had wanted to put off treatment until the harvest had been completed.

“I was praying we could get the harvest done and then I could go and get some treatment but it’s going to be slap bang in the middle,”

he says.

An emotional Kaleb tells him to ‘look after yourself’ and says he should call if he needs any help.

Before those episodes were released, Clarkson shared a video on Instagram telling viewers the finale would be hard to watch, saying it was far removed from the programme’s usual ‘bucolic and charming’ feel.

Later, a hospital scene shows Clarkson saying the course of treatment has not gone completely smoothly.

‘Some of the treatment has gone awry, let’s say, I’m going to be here for a little while,’

he says, before adding:

“What I wanted to say was if this is all successful I’ll see you for season six and if it isn’t I won’t.”

Clarkson does not name the cancer in the scene itself, but later reporting on the episodes said the diagnosis was prostate cancer and that it had been caught at an early stage.

The diagnosis comes after Clarkson was taken to hospital with chest pains in 2024, when doctors discovered that one of his arteries was completely blocked. He later said he had been days from death before doctors inserted stents to restore circulation.

Since production ended, he has continued with work commitments, including the latest series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Prime Video has already ordered a sixth season of Clarkson’s Farm, and Clarkson has suggested he hopes to return if treatment is successful.
