Jessica Alba, 45, and her eldest daughter Honor, 18, revealed matching tattoos ahead of the teen’s departure for Yale University.
The mother-daughter duo now sport identical ink on their wrists — delicate designs featuring eyes and infinity signs — created by celebrity tattoo artist Daniel “Winterstone” Winter. Honor gave followers a first look at the matching body art in a July 1 Instagram post showing the pair holding hands over a car’s center console.
“Me x Mama ♾️♾️♾️,” the teen captioned the photo.

Winter shared a detailed close-up of the artwork four days later on his own social media accounts. “What a way to show love with an unforgettable experience!” He wrote on July 5. The artist added that Alba and Honor had made “a memory they will share forever.”

The new ink arrives at a pivotal family moment. Honor, who graduated from high school earlier this year, is preparing to leave Los Angeles for Yale University in Connecticut this fall. The cross-country move marks the first time the teen will live away from home.
Alba publicly grappled with the emotional weight of the milestone in May, posting to her followers that her heart “ache[d] with pride.” The Golden Globe nominee wrote, “Time is fleeting. Time is sacred. And every moment of being [Honor’s] mom has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.”
The “Honey” star is also mother to daughter Haven, 15, and son Hayes, 8, whom she co-parents with ex-husband Cash Warren, 47. Alba has a history of commemorating her children through tattoos. In 2019, she had their astrological signs — Gemini, Leo, and Capricorn — inked onto her left forearm by artist Dr. Woo.
“These are permanent and I won’t regret these ones,” Alba wrote on Instagram at the time. “These are my babies.”

The actress has accumulated several meaningful tattoos in recent years, even as she has expressed regret over earlier ink from her teenage years. In a 2019 interview with Refinery29, she admitted to disliking a floral design on her neck and what she called a “tramp stamp” bow on her lower back. “I got it when I was, like, 17 and I’m so irritated that I got it,” she said of the neck piece. “I got it lasered many times and it’s not coming out.”

Following her January 2025 split from Warren after 16 years of marriage, Alba turned to Winter for additional commemorative ink. The artist tattooed “life is transformation is life” onto her forearm in February. She later debuted a “phoenix rising” piece on her upper back in April, sharing on Instagram that she was “in love with how [the design] turned out.”
Alba has since moved on romantically with actor Danny Rodriguez, whom she began dating after her divorce. The “Dark Angel” alum has documented her evolving personal journey across social media, mixing family milestones with her own self-described transformation.
In the viral moment that preceded this latest tattoo reveal, Alba announced her separation from Warren in January, writing on Instagram that she and her former partner were embarking on “a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals,” She added, “We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family.” The pair, who met on the set of 2005’s “Fantastic Four,” had eloped in May 2008 and share joint custody of their three children.
Honor’s Yale enrollment will place her on the opposite coast from her mother’s Los Angeles base, making the matching tattoos a permanent physical connection across the distance.
Alba continues to run The Honest Company, the consumer goods brand she co-founded, while navigating her expanded family responsibilities and new relationship.
