Kanye West Claims Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Foxx Stole Django Unchained Story

Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Foxx, according to Kanye West, stole the concept for Django Unchained.

The rapper, who has made several disturbing comments in recent weeks, said he proposed the scenario to the couple in the hopes of turning it into a music video for his 2005 song “Gold Digger.”

Foxx, who starred in Tarantino’s Django Unchained in 2012, appeared on West’s song.

West claimed to have presented a slavery-themed scenario for the song video, but it never materialized. Hype Williams directed the video, which stars Foxx.

“Actually, [Tarantino] and Jamie, they got the concept from me, because the idea for Django, I proposed to Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino as the video for ‘Gold Digger,'” West, who now goes by the moniker Ye, revealed on Piers Morgan Uncensored. Tarantino then made it into a film.”

West was recently dismissed by French design label Balenciaga after becoming entangled in a scandal over a series of antisemitic statements.

Tarantino, whose most recent feature was 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, will release Cinema Speculation, a new cinema book, on October 25.

It was rumored in 2019 that he was working on an adaptation of a Django Unchained comic book miniseries.

It depicts Foxx’s main character securely settling his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) in Chicago and working to support her.

On his journey, he encounters Zorro (played by Antonio Banderas), and the two become friends when Django becomes his bodyguard. Django/Zorro is the title.
