Khloé Kardashian underwent an MRI to establish she suffered brain trauma due to her now ex-boyfriend, NBA player Tristan Thompson, cheating on her for the second time.
After she took Thompson back, the basketball player was publicly exposed for cheating on the reality star again and getting another girl pregnant.
Kardashian and Thompson have a four-year-old daughter, and they had a second kid through surrogacy before the scandal was disclosed to Kardashian.
“My last ex-boyfriend, there was a lot of cheating while I was pregnant,” she told Dr. Daniel Amen on a recent episode of the family’s Hulu show, “The Kardashians.”
“All these things I found out about from social media, so it’s pretty traumatic,” Kardashian added.
Following the MRI, Dr. Amen stated that Kardashian had evidence of brain trauma, which was presumably caused by Thompson’s infidelity.
Thompson was shown to be the father of a kid he had previously denied fathering, resulting in the highly publicized controversy.
Thompson had earlier acknowledged having sex with Maralee Nichols, a personal trainer who sued the NBA player for child support.
“I take full responsibility for my actions,” Thompson wrote in an Instagram story published in January. “Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal, both publicly and privately.”
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you,” he shared with his millions of followers. “You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.” He added, “I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
Nichols specifically claimed Thompson urged her to abort their child and threatened her with not receiving any money or assistance from him if she followed forward with the pregnancy, bringing purported text conversations between the two to court.
Thompson reportedly texted Nichols, saying, in part, You know how I feel. My feelings haven’t changed at all. Won’t be involved at all. [By the way,] if you think having this baby is gonna make you some money, It’s completely wrong.”
