Khloé Kardashian’s Longtime BFF Malika Haqq Blasts ‘Self-Centered’ Co-Star Natalie Halcro Over ‘Lack of Accountability’

Malika Haqq called out Natalie Halcro for being “self-centered” ahead of their new Hulu series debut.

Haqq, 43, sat down with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast to discuss the upcoming reality show “The Girls,” which features Kardashian’s inner circle. The longtime Kardashian confidant did not hold back when asked about tension within the friend group, directing her criticism squarely at Halcro, 38.

“I don’t think any one of us is messy; I think one of us is self-centered,” Haqq told the outlet. “I think Natalie thinks about herself a lot.”

Haqq went further, claiming Halcro demonstrated a “lack of accountability” by focusing “too much” on herself rather than considering the group’s dynamic. The “Khloé & Lamar” alum explained that the cast had attempted to confront Halcro about their concerns but found the conversation difficult to navigate.

“I don’t think she’s as comfortable as being as forthright as, say, Yris [Palmer] is, or she’s just a little more sensitive,” Haqq speculated about why the confrontation may not have landed effectively.

The comments mark a rare public rift among Kardashian’s carefully curated friend group, which has largely presented a united front through years of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and “The Kardashians” appearances. Haqq, who met Kardashian as a teenager in 1999, has been a staple of the Kardashian universe, appearing in countless episodes across multiple series and even starring in her own spinoff.

However, Halcro’s defenders were quick to push back. When Page Six spoke to Halcro in a separate interview, co-stars Nicole Williams English and Olivia Pierson rushed to her defense.

“I disagree with the statement,” Pierson, who is also Halcro’s cousin, told the outlet. “I believe Natalie is not self-centered. I actually believe the contrary because, in this project, she gave her all and she did a lot of good things for the show.”

Williams English echoed that sentiment, insisting Halcro “always puts everybody before [herself].”

Halcro herself expressed confusion about Haqq’s characterization. “I definitely was vulnerable, and when things hurt my feelings, I definitely was open and shared that, but that’s about it,” she said.

The divide suggests the six-episode series will deliver on the “brutally honest group chats” promised in Hulu’s promotional materials. The streaming platform announced “The Girls” during its “Get Real” event in April, positioning the show as a new era of reality TV “where the chaos is couture — and the bonds are unbreakable.”

The series stars Halcro, Haqq, her twin sister Khadijah Haqq, Palmer, Pierson, and Williams English as they navigate motherhood, relationships, and friendship drama. Kardashian, 41, serves as executive producer and narrator, though she does not appear as a main cast member.

In the viral moment that sparked this escalating feud, Haqq’s exclusive interview set off a wave of coverage as the first major promotional push for the series. The pointed remarks about Halcro’s behavior immediately divided fans and set up what appears to be a central conflict for the show’s freshman season. Pierson’s familial connection to Halcro added another layer of complexity to the dispute, with blood ties potentially straining the group’s ability to move past the criticism.

Haqq’s willingness to go on the record with her grievances represents a departure from the typically polished image Kardashian’s circle maintains. The Good American founder has frequently described her friends as her “chosen family,” making the public clash between two members of that inner circle particularly notable.

Whether the tension can be repaired remains to be seen, but the drama has already accomplished one goal: generating significant buzz for a series that represents Hulu’s latest bet on expanding the Kardashian universe beyond the family itself.

“The Girls” drops Friday on Hulu.
