Kim Kardashian revealed she keeps five nannies on rotation for the four children she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.
The Skims founder, 45, told the Sunday Times’ Style Magazine in a profile published Saturday that she always has at least one of those caregivers on duty when North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, are in her custody. Despite the sizable staff, she insists she handles the daily school runs herself and gathers the family for dinner every evening.
“I think I am an intermediate-strict parent,” Kardashian explained in the interview. “I’m extremely patient and loving. I still have a kid sleep in my bed when they want. I read books with the kids every night.”

The disclosure arrives months after Kardashian drew backlash for remarks about feeling isolated in motherhood. During a 2024 appearance on the “What’s in the Winkler” podcast, she acknowledged her “great support systems” but described herself as “basically raising four kids by [herself].”

“People will always jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,'” she said on the podcast, adding that she rarely discusses her struggles publicly to avoid judgment. She pointed to the difficulty of midnight moments when children are “kicking” and “crying” in her bed.

West, 49, fired back on social media after Kardashian described herself as her kids’ “main provider.” The couple, married from 2014 to 2022, have maintained a volatile co-parenting relationship since their split, with West marrying model Bianca Censori in December 2022, less than a month after the divorce finalized.
On the professional front, Kardashian and West have found common ground managing North’s emerging solo music career. “That is something that her dad and I have better communication about,” Kardashian told the Sunday Times. “We make sure we’re aligned and that she’s in projects that we both approve.”

The revelation about household staffing also lands amid intensified public scrutiny of Kardashian’s parenting narrative. News.com.au and other outlets recently highlighted online pushback against her “complaints” about child-rearing, particularly given her extensive resources and paid assistance.

Kardashian’s schedule has remained demanding throughout her motherhood years. She launched Skims in 2019, continues working toward passing the California bar exam after multiple failed attempts, and recently wrapped filming Season 2 of Ryan Murphy’s “All’s Fair” series, in which she plays Allura Grant. An insider said in May that she had paused her legal studies to focus on “filming and production for several projects.”

She is also reportedly dating F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
The five-nanny arrangement marks a notable detail in the ongoing public accounting of how celebrity parents manage high-profile households. Kardashian’s emphasis on personally handling school transportation and nightly routines appears designed to counter assumptions that her staff handles day-to-day upbringing.

West, meanwhile, has addressed his children’s upbringing in his music, releasing a track in which he called his kids “boujee & unruly” — a characterization that drew attention to his own perspective on their lifestyle and behavior.

Kardashian first rose to prominence on reality television in 2007 and began studying law through the California Law Office Study Program in 2018, a path requiring 18 hours of weekly work.

Kardashian is expected to continue filming promotional content for upcoming Skims campaigns and her Murphy series projects in Los Angeles.
