Kylie Jenner has landed a starring role in Stella McCartney’s new campaign film.
The 29-year-old makeup mogul appears alongside a trained horse on a beach at sunset in “Wild Horses,” a short film directed by Gia Coppola that serves as the latest entry in the brand’s Icon Series. The project was unveiled less than one week after Jenner made her runway debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York, where she wore the $50 million Fantasy Bra.

Stella McCartney addressed its casting choice directly in a press release, stating, “The casting for this Icon Series carries its own Stella juxtaposition: Kylie – an icon of contemporary femininity and unapologetic glamour – is taken out of the expected and immersed in the raw beauty of our natural world, celebrating the unique space our brand holds.”
The brand’s connection to horses runs deeper than aesthetics. “From archival collections to the winter 2026 runway, the horse has remained a defining symbol of the house,” the label notes on its website. The press release elaborated that “the film is an ode to the power, sensitivity and freedom of the horse,” adding that “horses are part of Stella McCartney’s foundation: a lifelong connection rooted in Stella’s childhood, her family and a belief that fashion must recognize humanity as part of nature, rather than separate from it.”

For the shoot, Jenner was styled in several pieces from the collection, including a black lace-paneled camisole priced at $1,575, a chainmail halter top at $1,990, and a purple peplum mini dress also retailing for $1,990.

This marks Jenner’s latest move into high-fashion modeling. She has previously walked the runway for Coperni and appeared in campaigns for Skims and Alo, building a portfolio beyond her Kylie Cosmetics empire.

The equestrian theme is familiar territory for the Jenner family’s relationship with Stella McCartney. For the brand’s winter 2023 campaign, Kendall Jenner, 29, posed surrounded by white Camargue horses at the Camargue Salt Flats in France. At the time, Kendall shared her perspective on the shoot, posting, “Humans and horses have been reliable partners throughout history, and that mutual trust over time is probably why our connection is so powerful.”

Kylie’s Victoria’s Secret appearance last Sunday and this new McCartney campaign represent a concentrated burst of fashion industry visibility for the youngest Jenner sibling, who has spent recent years primarily focused on expanding her beauty and skincare businesses.
