Lady Gaga has revealed her newborn daughter’s name.
The 40-year-old pop superstar and fiancé Michael Polansky, 42, have named the baby Rose Bean Polansky, according to a birth certificate on Thursday. Rose was born June 9 at 11:19 p.m. At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The outlet had confirmed on Sept. 11 that the couple privately welcomed their first child, though no details were released at that time. The outlet later published exclusive photos showing the family of three on a walk in Northern California, with Gaga — born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta — holding the newborn against her chest.
A source said that both parents “took time off of work this summer to be with” their daughter. The insider added that they “both beam when they talk about being parents,” and that Polansky “seems lighter, happier.”

Gaga had largely stayed out of public view since wrapping her Mayhem Ball tour in April. She was last spotted taking a selfie with a fan in Northern California in August.

The singer had previously made clear her desire for motherhood. In November 2025, she said, “Being a mom is the thing I want the most.”
She also gushed in that interview that Polansky was “gonna be a beautiful father” and that they both were “really excited” about starting a family together.

Gaga and Polansky began dating in 2019 and announced their engagement at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In March, she said during an appearance on Bruno Mars’ “Romantic Radio” iHeartRadio livestream that the two were “getting married soon.”
Speculation about a secret wedding swirled even before the birth announcement. On Sept. 8, a source said that “no one has seen her or heard from her in over a month,” adding that “everyone in her circle thinks she eloped with Michael and is on her honeymoon now, trying to make a baby.”

That elopement rumor surfaced just days before reports said the birth on Sept. 11.

The couple’s relationship timeline spans several years of public milestones. After dating privately for a period, they went public in 2020 and have since appeared together at major events including the Super Bowl and various charity functions.

Gaga’s transition into motherhood follows one of her busiest professional stretches. The Mayhem Ball tour ran through early 2025 before concluding in April, and she has hinted at new music in development while keeping her schedule light for the remainder of the year.

Polansky, a Harvard-educated entrepreneur and investor, has maintained a relatively low public profile throughout their relationship, though he has increasingly appeared alongside Gaga at industry events in recent years.

The family was photographed on their Northern California walk in what marked the first public sighting of the three together since Rose’s arrival.

Gaga and Polansky are expected to continue splitting time between Los Angeles and their Northern California property as they adjust to life with their daughter.
