The Olympics have officially begun in Paris, but the start was marred by numerous mishaps.
The drama kicked off when several critical parts of the French transport network were hit by arson attacks.
However, these incidents were just the beginning of the troubles that plagued the Olympic opening ceremony.
Paris opted for a unique setting for its opening ceremony, moving away from the traditional stadium.
Athletes and performers paraded through the streets of Paris, including on barges along the Seine, with performances at iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower.
Unfortunately, sharp-eyed viewers noticed a particularly embarrassing wardrobe malfunction involving one performer during the ceremony.
To put it mildly, this wasn’t just a minor wardrobe slip.
Many performers wore outfits that might best be described as held together by sheer willpower and a bit of nipple tape.
In the case of this performer, the undergarments were pushed to their limits.
Some viewers noticed that a testicle had slipped out during the performance.
A photo of the incident quickly circulated on Twitter, leaving very little to the imagination.
The performer was seen wearing a black sequinned jacket with a bare chest and very tight sparkly black pants.
Regrettably, the ‘escapee’ was not just peeking out but was fully exposed, making for an awkward moment in the ceremony.
This incident serves as a reminder that tight pants can be treacherous, especially during a major televised event.
The wardrobe malfunction was not the only issue; the outdoor setting was also disrupted by rain, soaking the attendees.
Among the performers was Celine Dion, who shared insights into her intense preparation for the event.
“There’s one thing that will never stop, and that’s the will. It’s the passion. It’s the dream. It’s the determination,” Dion explained.
“The way I see it, I have two choices. Either I train like an athlete and work super hard, or I switch off and it’s over.
“I stay at home, listen to my songs, stand in front of the mirror and sing to myself.
“I’ve chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!”
