This Mom Has Something Important To Say To The People Calling Her “Huge” At 24 Weeks Of Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a personal journey that touches the very core of womanhood. But sometimes, people hovering at the fringes just have to try to spoil the magic.

Just ask Revie Jane Schulz, an Instagram fitness model from Gold Coast, Australia.

Pre-pregnancy Revie was not your average gym-rat-next-door; here she is showing off her toned bod for international athletic brand, Lululemon.

Obviously, she has the whole Baywatch thing going for her.

And here she is at 37 weeks. In the caption, she says, “I’ve never felt so big and beautiful at the same time ?.”

But while Revie herself was comfortable with her baby bump, other people around her were not. And unfortunately, they felt the need to verbalize it.

Maybe because she was so fit, some people didn’t expect Revie to “show” when she got pregnant with her first baby.

But of course she did, because… DUH.

And due to the sheer size of her tummy, Revie got a lot of attention — from friends to random strangers commenting on how “huge” she was.

“I was so fed up, even when I had tried on this dress and the shop assistant said ‘Holy moly! My friend is 36 weeks and you’re only 24 weeks and you’re WAY bigger than her!’ She repeated this to the lady in the next changing room to me. I cried while I tried the dress on.” Revie said.

But Revie found a way to fight back against the 2-cent-throwers. “I posted this after so many comments were thrown my way for having a massive bump,” she said on one post.

“I got it everywhere I went and it did make me want to hide away. It’s tough, you’re carrying a human, your body is dramatically changing, more than you ever expected and then to rub salt in it, strangers feel the need to comment every time you’re out in public,” she added.

“Here’s a tip, don’t mention the size of a bump. No ‘You’re so big!’s, no ‘Oh! You’re so tiny!’s. Just say something like ‘You look beautiful/healthy/amazing!'” ?

Spoken like a true warrior. Keep on slayin’, mama!
