This is Gary, a.k.a the “Concerned Kitten”.
He’s an 8-week-old furball with the most adorable eyebrow game ever.
Gary’s owner, Andy Entwistle, said: “When he was born there were just these two little black blotches on his forehead.”
“As he grew they got bigger and started to spread out. We started saying how confused he looked so I penned him ‘Concerned Kitten’ and it just stuck.”
The kitten was named after Gary Barlow, an English musician and lead vocalist of the band Take That, whose eyebrows were famous for doing a little dance every time he sang.
“When Gary Barlow is singing he holds his eyebrows up to get to the high notes, and there’s definitely a resemblance,” Andy’s wife Caroline said.
Gary (the cat, not the singer) has unique eyebrow markings that make him look permanently worried.
Gary’s cat-siblings from his litter were re-homed, but Andy and Caroline could not bear to part with “Concerned Kitten” and his sister Amy, who has mobility issues.
“But when we saw Gary’s distinctive look we couldn’t get rid of him.”
Even his sister has black markings that could have been an underdeveloped eyebrow.
Close, but no cigar.
“A lot of people have asked us if they’re drawn on, but they’re really not. It would be a bit cruel wouldn’t it really,” Caroline said.
“But if anyone doesn’t believe it, we’re happy to try and rub them off. They’re not going anywhere.”
How Concerned Kitten is dealing with his newfound fame is unknown, but he may learn a thing or two from fellow ‘eyebrowed’ feline, Sam, and of course, the ubiquitous Grumpy Cat.
“We love Grumpy Cat so we thought we’d give him a run for his money.”
