North West Taught Kim Kardashian How to Dress Exactly Like Her for Halloween

Kim Kardashian got a Halloween makeover from her toughest critic.

The 44-year-old reality star revealed that her eldest daughter, North West, 12, not only came up with the idea for Kardashian’s costume but also restyled the entire look after her first attempt fell short. Kardashian broke down the mother-daughter fashion clash during a red-carpet interview at Monday night’s New York City premiere of “All’s Fair” Season 2.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the Skims founder explained that dressing as North was the tween’s concept from the start. Once Kardashian had assembled what she believed was a finished outfit, she felt confident in her work.

“I thought I was killing it and I was, like, fully ready,” she said.

That confidence lasted until she walked into the next room.

“And then I go in the other room, and she’s like, ‘No, no, no. Wrong shirt! I would never wear that skirt. Where did you get those lashes?’ So she redid it for me and made it amazing and perfect,” Kardashian continued.

The final costume featured a black graphic tee, a long blue wig, and North’s own Alex Moss-designed diamond skull pendant necklace. Kardashian also sported overgrown nails and recreated West’s controversial face piercings for the full effect.

The transformation made Kardashian the spitting image of her blue-haired daughter, though it took North’s direct intervention to get there.

The costume swap wasn’t one-sided. While Kardashian went as North, the 12-year-old had transformed herself into “Bad Girls Club” star Natalie Nunn. The look proved so convincing that Nunn herself flipped the script and showed off her own blue-haired West costume in response, making the teen the rare muse who inspired both her mother and the celebrity she portrayed.

The Halloween exchange caps a year of growing public visibility for North, who has increasingly shaped her own image and occasionally her mother’s. Kardashian has defended her daughter’s style choices in recent interviews, telling outlets that she lets North “express herself” even when that means piercings, grills, or fashion critiques delivered directly to the person funding her wardrobe.

The homeschooling arrangement Kardashian recently detailed includes brand-building coursework alongside more traditional subjects, positioning North to eventually convert her eye for aesthetics into something commercial. The Halloween incident offered a preview of that dynamic in action, with the student briefly becoming the instructor and the global beauty mogul taking notes.

Kardashian shares North with ex-husband Kanye West, and both parents have incorporated the tween into their professional lives this year. West brought North onstage for a performance in Mexico City, while Kardashian has discussed her daughter’s curriculum and creative input in multiple interviews.

The “All’s Fair” Season 2 premiere marked Kardashian’s return to promotional duties for the Hulu legal drama, which she executive produces. The series follows a group of women running a law firm in Los Angeles.
