After going viral on TikTok for discussing their intimate life despite one partner being paralyzed, a couple has opened up about their reasons for sharing such a personal video.
Neven Hart and his fiancée, Amber, have amassed nearly 550,000 TikTok followers by offering glimpses into their lives, which took a significant turn when Neven was paralyzed from the waist down due to a dirt bike accident.
While the couple is open about many aspects of their lives, Neven mentioned that they initially hesitated to create a video on the topic of sex.
In a TikTok video that gained widespread attention in September, Neven and Amber guided viewers through how they manage their intimacy, including how Neven achieves an erection despite his paralysis.
Neven shared that he uses an injection at the base of his penis for assistance. With this solution, Neven and Amber can assume various positions using a chair called the ‘intimate rider’, which is specifically designed for those with paralysis and can be controlled by neck movements.

Originally hesitant to share about the chair, Neven and Amber eventually decided to explain their reasoning for posting the video.
Amber noted in the clip that many people were curious about how they maintain intimacy. She elaborated, “We’re just gonna do this video as, number one, education for people who are going through the same thing. That is the main reason why we post these videos. It’s not for all the weirdos, or the people being rude.”
“We know that there’s young people going through the exact same thing that we are, and we want to be here to educate them and let them know that things are still possible,” Amber added.
Neven agreed, expressing that if sharing their experience “helps another guy,” it would be worthwhile.
In a conversation with Buzzfeed News, Amber mentioned that they decided to share their story due to the lack of available information on sexual intimacy for those facing similar challenges when Neven was injured.
“Knowing what we know now, we are posting this information so we can help other young couples or individuals who are going through the same thing,” she explained.
Their openness about such personal matters has been met with praise, with viewers recognizing the importance of the information they provide.
