People are just noticing Donald Trump has displayed his infamous mugshot outside the Oval Office

President Donald Trump is often at the center of controversy, and a recent modification he made at the White House has sparked widespread discussion.

Trump’s arrest led to an infamous mug shot that swiftly became one of the most talked-about images globally.

Critics viewed the photo as a stark reminder that he should not be eligible to seek presidency again, whereas his supporters perceived it as a call to rally behind him even more.

This 2023 photograph emerged following his convictions last year related to the falsification of business records concerning a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels during his 2016 campaign.

To the dismay of Trump’s detractors, he received a penalty sentence just before his swearing-in, ensuring he would not face prison time.

Nonetheless, following a meeting between President Trump and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it became apparent how Trump regards the image.

The image now resides in a golden frame displayed prominently outside his oval office.

This decision by Trump delighted many on social media, viewing it as a bold retort to those who attempted to thwart his election bid.

Conversely, others saw it as an overly theatrical gesture.

One Twitter user observed: “I love it. Seinfeld framed his tv rejection letter. We all have ways to turn bad times into motivation.”

Another remarked: “Very fitting! What was supposed to doom his campaign put him in the Oval Office.”

Someone else suggested: “Should use that as his official POTUS pic everywhere. EVERYWHERE.”

Despite the support for this move, not everyone was amused.

One individual commented: “We all know he is pandering to the cult with that garbage and mockery of our country.”

Another person added: “Of course he does. First criminal president…and he and MAGA are proud of it. Make America Great Again?”

Yet another stated: “It should serve as a reminder to everyone that the president is a criminal.”

Though Trump hasn’t officially commented on keeping the mug shot in the White House, he has previously referred to it as an iconic image.

In a June roundtable discussion with Black voters, he remarked: “The mug shot is the best ev—it just beat Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra by a lot. That’s the No. 1 mug shot of all time. It’s really an amazing thing.

“Since it happened, the support among the Black community and Hispanic community has skyrocketed.”
