People Laughed At This Grandma’s Idea At First. But What She Did To This Tiny Shack Is Pretty Incredible

When Monica Smith’s daughter and five children became homeless, she decided to give them her house. Instead of moving somewhere else, Monica decided to transform her 8×10 foot backyard shack into a fully-functional home. The end result is rather remarkable as the following pictures will show.

Monica’s decision to live in what is now being called a “tiny house” is part of a larger trend to be more economically and environmentally efficient. Instead of living in enormous houses where money and energy are lost maintaining it, people choose to live in spaces that are only as large as they truly need.
