Pete Davidson has opened up about an unexpected way fatherhood has changed one of his old habits: watching pornography.
The 32-year-old comedian has gone through a lot lately, including a major personal reset after reportedly spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to remove around 200 tattoos.
He’s also entered a new chapter at home, welcoming a baby girl with his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, and the couple has shared sweet family moments since announcing the news last December.
But with the arrival of his daughter came a surprising shift for the former Saturday Night Live star—one he recently worked into his stand-up.
During a show at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas on Saturday (April 11), Davidson told the crowd that becoming a “girl dad” has made it tough to enjoy porn the way he used to.
His daughter is named Scottie, in honor of his father, Scott Davidson, who died while working as a firefighter during the 9/11 attacks.
As he returned to the stage following the birth, Davidson joked that porn doesn’t hit the same now that he has a child.
It’s worth noting the comments came in the context of a comedy set—so the delivery was intentionally provocative.
He said, as reported by Us Weekly: “[I] got a little girl. It’s weird having a little girl.”
Davidson then pushed the bit further, saying it’s ‘hard to watch porn… in front of her,’ before adding: “I still did. I power through.”
After landing the joke, he shifted to a more sincere reflection on what fatherhood has meant to him, saying being a dad has been “great” and that ‘it’s a lot of fun.’
He’d also spoken about becoming a parent earlier this year, sharing his perspective in January as he adjusted to those first weeks with a newborn.
He said: “The best thing I’ve been telling people is [that Scottie is] the biggest gift.
“Nothing else matters as much or intensely, like career, activities, hanging out with people [or] what do people think of me, that sort of s***. I still want to do cool stuff, but it’s like, ‘Well, how long do I have to be away?’ Or, ‘Is this worth being away?’”
The couple announced Scottie’s arrival with an Instagram post, writing that ‘our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025’.
Sharing her full name as ‘scottie rose hewitt davidson’, El️sie wrote: “My best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief.”
Davidson added his own line to the post: “wu tang forever.”
