After no jackpot winner in the August 3 drawing, the Powerball prize rises to an estimated $786 million.
The Powerball jackpot is now one of the top ten largest jackpots in game history.

Wednesday’s jackpot is estimated at $786 million, with a cash value of $341.6 million.
The jackpot has been growing for the past three months.
It is the largest Powerball jackpot since a $1.817 billion prize won in Arkansas on Christmas Eve 2025, which remains the second-largest jackpot ever won in the game.
The last time someone won was on May 2 when winning tickets sold in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize.

No one had all of the winning numbers in Monday’s drawing, but someone purchased a $2-million dollar winner in Wisconsin.
The odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are a minuscule 1 in 292.2 million.

Those odds will be the same for U.S. and U.K. players, lottery officials say, and U.S. lottery officials say the expanded player base will allow Powerball jackpots to grow more quickly, likely increasing sales as more people are drawn to larger
prizes.
Beginning July 21, Powerball ticket sales will expand to the United Kingdom, marking the next step in the game’s historic expansion across the Atlantic.
By expanding the player base internationally, Powerball jackpots are expected to grow faster, creating bigger prize opportunities for players – without altering the game’s $2 ticket price or jackpot odds.
The expansion, first announced in April through an agreement between the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) and Allwyn UK, will mark the first time a non-U.S. lottery contributes to the Powerball jackpot.

“More players means faster-growing jackpots, more excitement and even greater impact for the communities we serve,” said Rebecca Paul, president and CEO of the Tennessee Lottery and former president of the World Lottery Association.
The advertised jackpot in the UK will also be smaller than the jackpot advertised in the U.S., with the advertised jackpot in the UK at £300 million, or about $342 million — well below the $567 million being advertised to U.S. players.
Powerball players in the UK will have only one payout option if they win the jackpot: annuity payments, with UK lottery officials saying the decision to pay a jackpot winner over 30 years “provides a steady, reliable income over many years, helping to support long-term financial security.”
In the viral moment leading to this historic growth streak,
the jackpot has been growing for the past three months after the last time someone won was on May 2 when winning tickets sold in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize.
The $1.817 billion prize built up over 47 drawings, which Powerball said sets a record for a jackpot cycle.
The winner, who has not been publicly identified, bought the lucky ticket at a gas station outside Little Rock, Arkansas.
That colossal December prize reset the game’s jackpot back to $20 million, and the rollover sequence has continued ever since.
The next drawing is scheduled for Aug. 5.
