Artist Captures Cats From Underneath, Showing A Whole New Side To Cats

Artist Andrius Burba was inspired at an International Cat Show to take unusual photographs of cats from underneath after being fascinated by their “cute little paws”.

“As a person who loves both cats and photography I couldn’t miss an opportunity to express myself during the International Cat show,” said Andrius.

“The idea about taking photos from underneath came from a similar photo which I randomly found on the Internet.”

“I was fascinated by their cute little paws which were impossible to resist looking at.”

“The main idea I wanted to express is that cats feel embarrassed about this part of a body people don’t get to see daily.”

It took Andrius 7 hours of preparation, 1 day of shooting and 4 weeks to finalize the photos.

And, cat bums aside, they do make us see cats in a whole new way.

He’s right — their squidgy paws are adorable.

And there’s endless opportunities for puns. UnderCats, CAT scans…

…er, that’s probably all of them. You can see more of Andrius’ work at his Instagram.
