The singer and businesswoman posed in a black-and-white lace lingerie set while holding a stop sign, completing the look with sparkling diamonds worth well over $160,000.

The look was completed with an icy suite of jewelry, including a $42,000 Fernando Jorge ring and a 40-carat diamond necklace priced at $123,000.

The Grammy winner posed in a black-and-white lace bra, matching briefs, a garter belt, thigh-high stockings and black stilettos while holding a red stop sign.

The singer and entrepreneur shared the bold images on Instagram, promoting new additions to her lingerie brand with a playful caption: “This is your sign to treat yourself to new @savagexfenty.”

The campaign immediately divided social media between admirers and critics.

“Riri, I love you, but you should stop dressing this way. Young girls are looking up to you as their mentor and role model,” wrote one commenter.

Others criticized the revealing photos, arguing that Rihanna’s image has changed since becoming a mother of three.

One critic commented, “Get a model to advertise your products, you’re a mother now.”

Another fan questioned her previous stance on such shoots.

“Lady Riri, I thought you said you’re done with doing things like this…?” asked one social media user.

The backlash reflected a broader skepticism about Rihanna continuing to model her own brand.

One supporter said, “Advertising queen,” while another wrote, “I love how comfortable and confident Savage X Fenty makes me feel every time I wear it.”

Fans defending the campaign argued that Rihanna had the right to wear what she wanted.

Despite the online debate, Rihanna has continued to defend self-expression.
The 36-year-old singer has consistently positioned herself as the face of her lingerie brand, prioritizing control over her own image.

The post continues Rihanna’s recent habit of serving as her company’s strongest model instead of placing celebrity talent between herself and customers.

In the viral moment, Rihanna transformed a routine lingerie shoot into a traffic-themed spectacle, drawing inspiration from street signs and road construction barriers.
Alongside the eye-catching images, Rihanna wrote, “even outside has rules @SavageXFenty,” cleverly tying the campaign’s playful concept to her latest fashion statement.
The campaign also featured images with signs reading “Curves Ahead” and “No Parking,” creating a playful double entendre about body positivity and traffic safety.

The Friday campaign images show Rihanna holding a red stop sign while modeling black-and-white lace, stockings, stilettos and a garter belt. She loaded the look with serious jewelry, including a $42,000 Fernando Jorge ring and a diamond necklace reportedly priced at $123,500.
The campaign marked her latest in a busy year for the lingerie brand.

The year kicked off with a Valentine’s Day 2026 campaign styled around an Aphrodite/”goddess of love” theme. In May, she launched “Savage Summer” with a cherry-themed collection called Cherry Nouveau, and she teased the Summer 2026 collection with just a Barbadian patois caption — “new savage for de summa”—that pulled 2.3 million likes.

Earlier in July, Rihanna had dropped additional Savage X Fenty campaigns that also drew attention.

On July 22, Rihanna once again had fans doing double takes when she modeled another new Savage X Fenty release. The singer slipped into a bubblegum pink slip dress featuring structured underwire cups, thin adjustable spaghetti straps, and a body crafted entirely from semi-sheer floral lace that hugged her figure before ending in a micro-mini hemline.

The traffic-sign concept represented a creative shift from her previous campaigns this year.

April’s Monamour bridal collection had also sparked debate among fans.

In April 2026, she promoted the brand’s Monamour bridal collection, posing in bright red floral lingerie, lace-up heels, and a garter skirt with a circular cutout that exposed part of her body.

Rihanna’s defense of her choices has been rooted in personal autonomy.

“Lingerie, to me, should be worn any way and anywhere that you want,” Rihanna told PEOPLE exclusively. “Whether you want it to be seen on display outside of T-shirts or inside a jacket falling off, or just to be cozy or just to have a little support, [it doesn’t matter].”

The singer has also spoken openly about the complexity of maintaining her fashion sense while balancing motherhood.

“I feel like getting dressed is a fight on its own [now]. Everything is so … logical. And fashion is so much fun, and I miss the fun,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

Rihanna has also been generating buzz about her return to music after a ten-year gap since her last album.

She made a surprise return to the stage on July 12, during the final night of Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium concert series celebrating his 30-year career. For her first full concert appearance since 2016 and first live performance since the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, she joined Jay-Z for “Run This Town” and then performed a solo “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

The July 31 campaign comes as speculation mounts about new music.

She said, “I went through phases of what I wanted to do… I know it’s not going to be anything that anybody expects. And it’s not going to be commercial or radio-digestible. It’s going to be where my artistry deserves to be right now. I feel like I’ve finally cracked it, girl!”

The Savage X Fenty collection featuring the stop-sign campaign is now available for purchase on the brand’s official website.
