Sarah Jessica Parker, 61, brought unmistakable Carrie Bradshaw energy to the 2026 New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala on Thursday night.
The actress arrived at the annual event with husband Matthew Broderick, 64, wearing a long-sleeved, semi-sheer dress with floral embroidery and cascading pink ribbons. She completed the look with silver jewelry and sparkling silver pointe heels, but it was her hair that drew the sharpest comparisons to her iconic “Sex and the City” character: a massive fishtail braid woven through with pink ribbons.

Parker’s styling closely mirrored an embellished floral braid her character wore in a 2022 episode of the “Sex and the City” spinoff “And Just Like That.” The original HBO series ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2005, followed by two feature films in 2008 and 2010. Parker returned to the role for three seasons of the revival, which concluded in 2025.

Broderick joined his wife on the red carpet after she posed for solo shots, the couple sharing hand-holding, smiling moments for photographers. The “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” star wore a classic black tux and bow tie with a white floral boutonnière and eyeglasses.

Inside the venue, Parker and Broderick connected with fellow attendees Stevie Nicks and Andy Cohen. The latter has a particular history with the couple: he is one of Parker’s close friends and famously commented on her anniversary tribute to Broderick earlier this year.
That May 19 Instagram post marked 29 years of marriage for the pair, who wed in 1997. Parker shared framed photos of herself and Broderick through the years with a caption that read, “May 19th, 1997-May 19th. 29 years. And counting. Here’s to you my darling. With your favorite band joining me in serenading you. Us. Forever young. Xxx, Your wife Sarah Jessica.”

Cohen’s response to the tribute was characteristically playful: “And they said it wouldn’t last!”

The couple’s family life has remained relatively private despite their decades in the spotlight. They share three children: son James, 23, and twin daughters Tabitha and Marion, 16, both welcomed via surrogate after their marriage.

The family’s most recent group outing came at the release party for Marc Shaiman’s book “Never Mind the Happy,” where all five posed with the composer.

Parker’s Thursday night appearance continues her long-standing connection to the New York City Ballet, where she has served on the board and regularly attended galas over the years. The annual Fall Fashion Gala typically pairs high-profile designers with the company’s dancers for one-night-only performances.

The 2026 edition drew its usual mix of fashion and entertainment figures, with Parker and Broderick among the most photographed couples of the evening.

The “And Just Like That” star has not announced her next on-screen project since the conclusion of the spinoff’s third season.
