Scarlett Johansson cautions fans after ‘stupid’ error results in ‘hole in face’

Scarlett Johansson, despite her stunning appearance, is just as human as the rest of us.

Like everyone else, she deals with pimples, which often seem to appear at the most inconvenient times.

Johansson has openly talked about experiencing breakouts, so if you’re battling a pimple of your own, you’re not alone.

In our quest to eliminate blemishes, we often try various methods, sometimes ignoring the advice of others.

For instance, Johansson once attempted to use a cortisone shot, a steroid injection, to clear a spot, which she later regretted.

Discussing her experience with E! News, the 39-year-old Black Widow actress stated, “Never get a cortisone shot to get rid of a pimple. I was warned by a make-up artist about this years ago.”

“She told me about an actress who had a big scene coming up but had a pimple she needed to get rid of. So, she went to the dermatologist to get a cortisone shot to get rid of it, and it left a huge crater (which looked much worse).”

Despite the caution she received, Johansson went ahead and tried the treatment herself.

As predicted by her make-up artist, the results were not favorable.

“Stupidly, I didn’t follow this advice, and a year later got it done myself – and I can confirm it does leave a hole,” Johansson admitted.

“Avoid it if you can. I’ve managed to massage it away over time but it’s probably one of my biggest beauty regrets.”

We’ve all encountered similar situations!

While celebrities like Johansson often use platforms like Instagram or TikTok to share beauty tips, she doesn’t engage with social media at all.

In a relatable moment, Johansson explained her absence from social media is because her ‘ego is too fragile.’

“I’m like a delicate flower,” she shared on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast.

Johansson elaborated, “I had Instagram once for three days and when I started realizing that I’d spent 20 minutes looking at somebody’s Instagram page who worked for a friend of mine.”

“I now know you have a pit bull and two daughters and you live in, like, Burbank. I was like, what? I just wasted 17 minutes of time.”

“I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog, and change my life in all these ways.”
