A video has surfaced online appearing to show a snowboarder happily shooting down a slope singing Rihanna with no idea she’s being chased by an enormous black bear.
Kelly Murphy uploaded the clip of herself snowboarding at Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park in Japan to YouTube where shocked commenters pointed out the hulking shadow following her.
Kelly’s singing along to Rihanna’s hit song “Work” as she films herself using a selfie stick, completely oblivious to what’s going on behind her.
She commented later, “I was singing Rihanna and didn’t know it was behind me! OMG! I was going through my snowboarding videos and I found a bear chasing me! I nearly got eaten!”
While many netizens have called the video a fake, Hakuba 47’s slopes are as tall as 5,000 meters and bear sightings (and even attacks) in nearby Nagano are not uncommon.
The video is now going viral so Kelly is either a master of doctoring videos or had a very, very lucky escape.
In the video, we’re pretty sure you can hear angry-bear growls (or is that just the wind?!) but, thanks to her headphones, Kelly was completely unaware.
