Use Fresh Lime As A Deodorant, Says Beauty Blogger

Beauty blogger Farah Dhukai is known for promoting some pretty crazy beauty tips, but this time she’s promoting a natural deodorant that’s a bit too weird for us.

Lots of people are moving away from cheap, commerical deodorants that, in recent years, have come under fire for harming skin, clogging pores, and polluting the environment.

According to organic beautician Elaine Robinson, natural deodorants are better for the body as “the body’s functions can be allowed to work naturally”. Plus, you’re not covering your pits in nasty chemicals.

So Farah took to Instagram to promote her favored natural deodorant — lime juice. She simply sliced a lime in half and rubbed it all over her underarm, as you’ll see below.

Although lime deodorant is already used by some natural beauty lovers, it comes with risks; applying this to freshly-shaved armpits will be agony, for one, and you should never go out in direct sunlight with lime juice on your skin as it can cause painful blistering. Ouch.

So if you’re not sold on lime juice deodorant, how about some of Farah’s other ideas? Here’s how to beat dandruff by spritizing mouthwash on your scalp.

Tingly.

Rub garlic on your face to remove pimples.

Great for skin, bad for anyone who comes within ten feet of you.

And she also advises using turmeric as a teeth whitener.

But when Farah looks THIS good, it’s hard not to be tempted to try out her crazy ideas….

…even if we forever smell of lime, garlic and turmeric, at least we’ll be beautiful, right?
