A Minnesota woman’s booking photo has sent social media into a frenzy over her uncanny resemblance to Jennifer Lopez.
Cyrena Anne Quast, 35, was arrested on August 30 in Monticello, Minnesota, after allegedly stealing power tool batteries worth approximately $580 from a local store, according to a criminal complaint. An employee at the store reportedly recognized Quast from an alleged theft that had occurred a few days earlier.
Quast reportedly admitted to stealing the battery packs when questioned, online arrest listings indicate. She was booked on a gross misdemeanor theft charge and released the following day, according to reports.
The case would have drawn little notice beyond local police blotters had it not been for Quast’s mugshot, which social media users immediately seized upon for its striking similarity to the “On The Floor” singer. The resemblance was so pronounced that numerous fans briefly believed the 57-year-old superstar herself had been taken into custody.
“Thought it was her without makeup until I read title of the story. That’s crazy!!!” exclaimed one fan on X.
Another user on the platform offered a different theory: “She could be one of those guys who impersonate Elvis and Michael Jackson but as Jlo.”
The comparisons spawned a wave of jokes referencing both Lopez’s persona and her music. “The Jenny from the block she’s been singing about,” commented a third social media user.

Lopez has not publicly addressed her apparent lookalike, leaving fans to continue swapping the booking photo across platforms without official comment from the entertainer.

A Florida woman experienced similar attention in 2010 when her booking photo circulated widely online. Sara Jane Isbister was 21 when she was arrested for reckless driving and failure to pay a speeding fine, earning her the nickname “mugshot beauty.” Speaking to The Sun 16 years after her arrest, Isbister reflected on her mindset at the time.
“I was just so reckless. I just wanted to be the baddest of the baddest,” she said.
She added that her youth had blinded her to the stakes: “I didn’t realize there were real consequences at that age.”
Quast’s case now joins this peculiar lineage, though whether her resemblance to a global pop icon will yield any opportunity comparable to Meeks’s modeling contract remains to be seen. For now, she faces the more immediate matter of a gross misdemeanor theft charge in Minnesota.
