Snoop Dogg Runs Competing Poll to See if He Should Take Control of Twitter From Elon Musk

Snoop Dogg has waded into the fight for control of Twitter after Elon Musk’s poll. The billionaire’s poll, asking whether he should step down from management, was met with a resounding ‘yes’ from users, prompting the rapper to post his own poll asking if he should take over the role.

The poll has already racked up nearly 2.5 million votes.

Retired tennis star Martina Navratilova and news writer Ian Boudreau are among the many who are in favor of Snoop Dogg being appointed for a role.

Boudreau listed a number of Snoop’s accomplishments that would make him a suitable candidate, including a “proven record of business successes spanning 30+ years,” the ability to “forge meaningful partnerships across industries,” an “astounding work ethic,” a “deep rolodex,” and a “comprehensive understanding of social media’s power for both advertisers and creators.”

He concluded by saying, “Snoop would kick ass at this.” With seven hours left to the poll, it looks like Snoop Dogg may have a new job.

Elon Musk has promised to abide by the results of a poll he posted, which showed the majority of people wanting him to step down.

“Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll,” Musk tweeted — and the final results showed that 57.5% were in favor of the proposal and 42.5% opposed it.

FOX 5 DC anchor Jim Lokay pointed out the fact that Musk had already floated the possibility of bringing in someone else to run the platform’s day-to-day operations.

“While I realize the @elonmusk ‘should I step down poll?’ is great fodder, please remember that back in October, he told a judge he planned to ‘reduce my time at Twitter and find somebody else to run Twitter over time,’” Lokay tweeted.
