Jocelyne Wildenstein has responded to allegations that she’s undergone plastic surgery.
Although her Wikipedia page describes her as a socialite “known for her extensive cosmetic surgery” that gives her a feline-like appearance, the 84-year-old has recently addressed these claims, insisting she has never had any surgical procedures.
Jocelyne gained public attention due to her marriage and subsequent divorce from billionaire art dealer Alec Wildenstein.
The divorce became a media sensation, as it was reported Jocelyne caught her husband with a 21-year-old Russian model at their New York home.
During the divorce proceedings, a judge allegedly prohibited her from using the divorce settlement for plastic surgery, according to People magazine.
Despite a significant change in her appearance over the years and being dubbed “Catwoman” for her feline-like features, Jocelyne insists she has never had plastic surgery.
In an interview with The Sun, she declared: “I haven’t had plastic surgery.”
The socialite expressed a fear of what could happen during surgery.
She also stated that she is not fond of Botox and has only tried it twice.
“Everyone has a different reaction to it,” she explained. “I don’t know if I am allergic, but when I had it, it did not go well with me. It was not a good result.”
“My face swelled up. If they [other women] want to do it too strong, it doesn’t work well.”
Jocelyne also claimed to have never used fillers, noting that some of her friends have tried them and were not pleased with the results.
However, she admitted to having a “small surgery,” which she does not classify as plastic surgery.
Jocelyne mentioned undergoing a “light peel” treatment in her youth, which “prevents the wrinkles later on,” and continues to have them, but insists she’s had “nothing surgical on the eye.”
She elaborated: “I had on the eyebrow a little lift, on the top of the eyebrow. Each time it is a small rectification. You can do more if you like it, or not if you think it is too much. It’s a small surgery.”
“It keeps up a little refreshment in your eye. It’s been quite a while since I had it done though – six or seven years.”
While Jocelyne might not consider an eyebrow lift to be plastic surgery, others may have a different opinion.
