Moms would expect to get a phone call, or at least a measly text from time to time to know how their kid’s been doing when they leave for college. But when Ann Pinto McCarney from Pennsylvania couldn’t get a hold of her son Liam during his first few weeks of college, she decides to call his attention in the only way she knows her son wouldn’t miss – Facebook!
McCarney starts off by jokingly reminding her son about how they are related, then expresses her vulnerability by saying, “I haven’t heard from you in a while and I thought you forgot about me.”
She made sure not to get sentimental and took jabs instead as she said, “Maybe you haven’t forgotten me. Maybe you’ve forgotten how to use your phone. You know, the one that mommy and daddy bought you?”
She savagely ends her rant by saying, “So now I know I’m going to hear from you, especially before your mother and father have to pay the next installment for your tuition in November.”
So if you’ve been failing at communicating with your mom lately (yes Liam, we’re talking about you), know that ghosting on your mom is so not cool.
