A new dad’s Facebook status posted in appreciation of his fiancee’s incredible hard work as a mom is going viral and warming hearts everywhere.
Tony Emms from Northumberland, UK, posted the emotional status after realizing he didn’t give his fiancee “the credit she was due”.
He came in from work and found his fiancee fast asleep beside their baby son, completely exhausted.
The post, now liked over 30,000 times, says that Tony used to think Charlotte had had a “chilled day” at home, but now understood she “worked her ass off all day”.
“Lately, I’ve been thinking what this amazing woman does while I’m out … When I leave for work she gets woken by me and has to spring straight into action to get up and get herself sorted for the hectic day she has.”
He explained how she then gets up and feeds their baby, but doesn’t have time to eat herself, then plays with the baby, changes a ‘disgusting nappy’ then plays again until the baby falls asleep. But there’s no time for a nap, because then “she does the washing, cleans up baby’s toys and starts washing the pots from the night before.”
Hearts were warmed.
“It’s blokes like you that make us mothers want to do it and not feel like we have to do it.”
We think Tony’s fiancee is one lucky lady (especially if Tony starts doing the dishes more…)
