Steve-O has once again made headlines with his latest escapade — getting a face tattoo that is undoubtedly a striking choice.
The “Jackass” celebrity had previously announced his intention to get a tattoo on his face, and he has now followed through with that plan.
People opt for tattoos for a myriad of reasons, ranging from cultural to personal significance.
At one end, there are tattoos that hold religious or cultural significance. Others may choose designs that represent something personally meaningful, even if it doesn’t carry the same weight culturally.
Some opt for ‘coded’ tattoos, such as a semi-colon, which is popular among those dealing with mental health challenges as a symbol of their decision to continue their lives, akin to how a semi-colon represents a pause rather than an end.
Then there are tattoos chosen purely for aesthetic appeal, or even for humor or whimsy.
It’s clear where Steve-O’s face tattoo fits within these varied motivations.
A face tattoo is always a bold statement, often affecting one’s professional appearance since it can’t be easily concealed.
So, what design did the “Jackass” star, Steve-O, choose for his face tattoo?
If you guessed a depiction of male genitalia, you’re right on the money.
Steve-O revealed to Page Six: “I’m getting my first face juvenile tattoo. Post Malone is going to tattoo a dick on my forehead.
“That’s the plan. He asked, ‘Is it going to be a chode?’ And I didn’t even know what a chode is!”
A “chode” refers to a penis that is wider than it is long, for those unfamiliar with the term.
The tattoo was inked onto Steve-O’s face by none other than musician Post Malone, just above Steve-O’s right eyebrow.
Interestingly, this placement allows Steve-O to potentially ‘waggle’ the tattoo by moving his eyebrow.
Steve-O shared with Page Six that he decided to get this peculiar tattoo in celebration of his 50th birthday on June 13.
This is certainly a unique way to commemorate such a significant birthday!
Steve-O and Post Malone have a history of getting tattoos together. Back in 2022, they got matching tattoos while in Post Malone’s home state of Utah.
Reflecting on that experience in a YouTube video, Steve-O exclaimed, “I don’t know how that could have been a more incredible experience.”
