Sublime bandmates Jacob Nowell and Zano hijacked KTLA’s weather broadcast on the KTLA Weekend Morning News, kicking off by talking about the “beautiful southern swell” in Santa Monica before jokingly giving a shoutout to “Uncle Mike” riding a bike nearby.
Jacob Nowell and Zano appeared as guests on KTLA Weekend Morning News, joining meteorologist Kirk Hawkins at the weather wall to offer lighthearted commentary on the day’s overwhelming high temperatures.
“The heat advisory is extreme, and it’s going to be until Sunday at 8 p.m.,” Nowell said on KTLA. “It’s going to be hot.
The musicians recommended staying indoors during the heat emergency.
“So what you’re going to want to do is probably stay inside and just don’t go out until it’s safe again.”
Hawkins celebrated the duo’s teamwork as they traded off on the forecast, with the musicians repeatedly telling each other to “take it away.”
The pair cracked jokes nonstop.
They said that with this weather folks needed “SPF 1000”.
The musicians joked about the weather and playfully interacted with Hawkins as they took turns explaining the forecast.
The fun forecast also included jokes about the Bay Area’s weather, triple-digit temperatures in the Inland Empire.
The artists took turns explaining the extreme heat warning as Hawkins tried to keep them on track with the forecast.
Nowell stayed committed to the heat advisory details.

Sublime’s unexpected appearance on KTLA Weekend Morning News added a fun twist to the morning broadcast, with the bandmates bringing humor and entertainment to the weather report.
The timing was perfect for the ska legends.
Earlier in the year on April 8, Jakob Nowell and Zane Vandevort had appeared on KTLA to talk about the band’s first new album in 30 years and performed “Until the Sun Explodes” live in the studio, with Sublime headlining the Ocean Way Festival on September 26 and 27 in Santa Monica.
The band remained in the Los Angeles spotlight.
