Swim Through 1,000,000 Plastic Balls In A Giant Pit At The National Building Museum In Washington

The National Building Museum in Washington is known for large, interactive exhibits installed in the atrium each summer. This year, it comes in the form of a giant ball pit titled ‘The Beach’.

As you can see, it brings out the kid in everyone.

The pit contains a million balls. The balls are made of a clear, recyclable plastic.

From far away, the balls look like snow.

Adults unleash their inner child as they play in the pit.

Of course, kids love it, too.

Just chillin’

‘The Beach’ even includes lounge chairs.

It’s hard not to smile when you’re swimming in a million plastic balls.

Jump on in.

Regular swimming skills don’t always translate.

The installation was conceived by the aptly-named design firm Snarkitecture.

Doing the back-stroke.
