The funeral for late Migos rapper Takeoff is slated for this Friday in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
The arena is home to the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and can hold more than 20,000 people.
The services, which begin at 1:00 PM, will be officiated by Rev. Jesse Curney, III of New Mercies Christian Church.
In a statement, Rev. Curney said, “I was really sad to hear the news. Kirshnik has been a faithful member since he was ten years old. He and his family were active and avid supporters of the church and the community as a whole.”
Emotions have been high in the community since Takeoff was shot and died on November 1 in Houston.
Graffiti artist Armondo “Ape” Monoletti created a painting in Atlanta just hours after the devastating news, and Takeoff’s friends and family organized a balloon sendoff in his honor over the weekend.
