Taylor Swift steps out in a striking floral mini at Nashville’s 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame gala

Taylor Swift, 36, delivered a rare acceptance speech at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame gala on Monday evening, calling the city “exactly what I’d dreamed of” as she became the youngest inductee in the organization’s history.

The ceremony marked the 56th anniversary gala for the Hall of Fame, held in the city where Swift launched her career as a teenage songwriter. She was inducted alongside Lyle Lovett, Bruce Channel, Shawn Camp and Lee Thomas Miller as part of the Class of 2026.

Swift wore a strapless burgundy velvet mini dress by Raisa Vanessa featuring an autumn floral print, paired with purple Jimmy Choo heels that had crystal ankle straps. She accessorized with a 65-carat Leviev diamond necklace and matching earrings, finishing the look with a pink lip and softly curled half-up hairstyle.

“From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be. I wanted to learn with and from the best and get to immerse myself in a community of storytellers, and thankfully, Nashville turned out to be exactly what I’d dreamed of,” Swift shared in a statement at the time of her nomination.

“A town that validated and prioritized hard work, determination and imagination. Where the writers show up to work every day even when the mysterious muses and the magic don’t. To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful.”

The induction comes as Swift has been edging back toward her country roots after dominating pop charts for years. Her original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for “Toy Story 5” climbed to No. 1 on the US country radio chart in September, marking her first country radio chart-topper in 13 years.

The Hall of Fame honor caps a period of sustained commercial dominance for Swift, who has spent much of the past two years on her record-breaking Eras Tour while re-recording her early catalog. The recognition specifically spotlights her songwriting, the craft she developed as a child before relocating to Nashville as a teenager.

The Raisa Vanessa dress choice drew immediate attention from fashion watchers, with the velvet texture and deep burgundy tone fitting the autumn timing of the gala. The 65-carat Leviev diamonds represented one of the more significant jewelry placements Swift has worn at a Nashville event.

Swift’s return to country radio success with the “Toy Story 5” track followed years of pop-focused releases including “Midnights,” “The Tortured Poets Department” and her re-recorded “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” The gap since her last country No. 1 stretched back to her early twenties, before her full pop pivot with “1989.”
