Professional photographer Sebastian Luczywo thought he knew all there was to know about snapping the perfect shot — until his daughter taught him to see things differently.

Sebastian’s daughter Kaja, 17, has Down syndrome and when she showed the photos she’d taken on her own camera her dad was amazed.
“Kaja’s photos show me a very important thing, namely the simplicity of looking at things, of concentrating on the subject and showing its most significant features.”
So, like any good dad and self-respecting professional, he challenged her to a “photography duel”.
Father and daughter would head out to the same spot with their cameras on an automatic setting and see who came away with the best shot.
And while the results are definitely close…
We think Kaja’s snaps beat her dad’s ones hands down.
And Sebastian agrees! “I have to admit that Kaja has become my master,” he says.
“Before looking at a picture now I think, ‘How would Kaja look at this?’ Thanks to Kaja I have a fresh way of looking at things and I am very grateful.”
And the project isn’t just about improving Kaja’s photography: “It’s important to Kaja to feel that what she does is appreciated not only by her parents.”
We hope Kaja’s feeling super proud because everyone adores her photos.
One person wrote on Facebook, “Your daughter’s photos are beautiful! She has great talents and sees the pictures with her heart.”
While another joked about the duel, “I don’t want to worry you, but I have to say that Kaja easily won!”
Best father-daughter photography duo in the world? We think so.
