Japan is a country that should be praised for preserving and valuing its unique culture and heritage. Its distinctive buildings, cartoon-like countryside, and intersection between traditional and modern dress are perfectly captured by street photographer Takashi Yasui.
“Photography is more of a pleasure, it is a passion,” Yasui writes on his website.
The freelancer, also known as “Tuck,” works in Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. He’s also the founder of RECO, a photography collective that uses everything from iPhones to video cameras to do their shoots.
If you’ve got a serious case of the travel bug looking at these photos, don’t worry, so have we.
They’re gorgeous.
