It’s easy to assume that a swingers’ cruise would be a ruleless free-for-all, but one cruise line has pushed back on that idea by outlining how structured things actually are.
That said, the point is still pleasure-focused fun on the open water — it wouldn’t have the “spicy” label otherwise.
Because not everyone on board is necessarily there to participate, it can be tricky for guests to figure out who’s open to what without awkward conversations or misunderstandings.
To make those interactions clearer, Bliss Cruise — a company that runs lifestyle-focused sailings — offers guests necklaces designed to signal what kind of experience they’re interested in.
According to Bliss, different bead colors correspond to different styles of “play,” giving others a quick way to understand preferences at a glance.
Lifestyle TikTok creators Bella & Jase broke down how it works in a video shared via the cruise company’s app.
They explained: “You might be wondering why you’ll see so many couples who go on Bliss Cruise wearing name necklaces.
“When you’re part of a loyalty program, which is free to sign up for, you can come to the name necklace station and choose your beads which all correspond to a specific play style.
“This way, it’s easy to see at a quick glance people’s names, as well as their relationship dynamic.”
The pair then outlined what each bead color is intended to communicate:
White: “Loves the vibes but prefers to watch: no participation, just voyeuristic fun.”
Black: “Open to group play, orgies, and hall pass encounters – independent fun encouraged.”
Blue: “Enjoys full swap and threesomes with adventurous, consenting couples.”
Green: “Loves being watched and comfortable with soft swap – kissing, touching, and oral play.”

“Of course, there are always a few single men and women who attend with couples as part of their threesome, which we do allow; however, this is an extremely small percentage that book our cruises.”
