The Witcher Fans Threaten to ‘Boycott’ Netflix Series After Cavill Exit

After Liam Hemsworth was named as Henry Cavil’s successor, The Witcher fans are seriously considering missing season four.

The fans was shocked when it was revealed that the Australian actor, 32, will play Geralt of Rivia after the Superman frontman stated that he will be “laying down my medallion and swords for Season 4.”

Sharing the news on social media, Henry wrote: In my stead, the fantastic Mr Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men.

Releasing his own statement, the Hunger Games actor shared that he is a longtime fan of The Witcher, and is ‘over the moon’ to have bagged the coveted role.

‘Liam, dear gentleman, this guy has so much depth to him; enjoy digging in and seeing what you can find.’

The casting announcement sparked a schism in opinion, with some swearing off the show and more voicing their displeasure on social media.

‘Having read reports now, If Netflix does not bring back Henry Cavill to the #Witcher and get rid of their disrespectful writers then that’s the end of my subscription,’ one fan seethed.

‘I’m tired of shows going sour this way ,did they learn nothing from GoT? Stick to and respect source material.’

‘Can we boycott the witcher until they make amends with henry cavill?’ another added.

While viewers do not know why Henry will not be appearing in the fourth chapter, many believe it is because to schedule conflicts as he just confirmed his return to the DC Extended Universe, after fans recognized a familiar face in the Black Adam post credits.

‘A very little taste of what’s to come, my friends,’ Henry posted on Instagram. The advent of fresh hope. Thank you for your understanding; it will be rewarded.’

It is unknown who will write or direct Henry’s next appearance as Superman, although it is assumed that he will appear in at least one future solo film.
