A TikTok couple was arrested Tuesday on felony arson charges after allegedly burning down an abandoned West Virginia home.
Dakota Harper, 21, and Felicity Eatmon, 22, who share a joint TikTok account, were taken into custody in Charleston following a fire that caused $10,000 in damage to a nearby church, according to police. The pair, who have amassed more than 28,000 followers, are charged with first-degree arson and conspiracy to commit arson.
Harper appeared in a Kanawha County courtroom for arraignment the same day he was arrested. Jail records list his height at 3 feet, 9 inches and his weight at 43 pounds, and video from the proceeding shows the defendant’s head barely cleared the desk as he sat down. Eatmon, who stands 5 feet, 1 inch, was also arraigned Tuesday.
Investigators obtained surveillance footage that allegedly captured Eatmon handing Harper what appears to be a piece of paper, according to a criminal complaint obtained by WCHS-TV. The paper was then lit and placed inside the vacant residence, authorities said.
Both defendants are being held on $10,000 bond.
The couple’s social media presence centers on slice-of-life content. Eatmon has referred to Harper as her fiancé in clips and has displayed her engagement ring to viewers. Some of their most-watched videos show the tattooed pair kissing at a fair and lounging by a pool, posts that have drawn millions of views.
The fire destroyed the abandoned home and spread damage to the adjacent church property. The specific motive for the alleged arson has not been disclosed by investigators.
Harper and Eatmon’s account remains active, though it is unclear whether either has posted since their arrest. Their content typically documents everyday moments of their relationship rather than the West Virginia property where the fire occurred.
The couple is expected to appear for preliminary hearings in Kanawha County court.
