Rapper Tory Lanez was found guilty on Friday by a Los Angeles jury of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence.
Lanez was accused of shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the Hollywood Hills back in July 2020. Despite pleading not guilty, the jury convicted him on all three counts.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney confirmed the verdict.
Megan Thee Stallion has accused rapper Tory Lanez of shooting her in the foot after a heated argument.
In her harrowing testimony during the trial, Megan said that things had become extremely tense between her, Lanez and her former friend and assistant Kelsey Harris during their ride in the car. Megan revealed that Lanez had demanded she come clean to Harris about their intimate relationship, knowing that the assistant had a crush on the Canadian singer and rapper.
Megan’s story turned even darker when she revealed that she had been shot after exiting the car.
