Trump’s granddaughter Kai responds to wild conspiracy that Barron Trump is a time traveler

Kai Trump has shared her thoughts on the online speculation claiming her uncle, Barron Trump, is a time traveler.

Kai, 18, is Donald Trump’s granddaughter and the daughter of Donald Trump Jr.

She competes in golf and has built a sizable following online, with 2.7 million followers on Instagram and a further 3.7 million on TikTok.

Earlier this year, she offered a glimpse of what her grandfather—currently the president of the United States—is like in private during an appearance on Jake Paul’s podcast.

She described the 79-year-old as ‘cool’.

During that same episode, the conversation turned to a conspiracy theory that’s been resurfacing: the claim that Barron Trump is secretly a time traveler.

As outlandish as it sounds, supporters of the idea point to an old piece of fiction as “evidence” that the concept didn’t appear out of thin air.

Back in 1893, author Ingersoll Lockwood published Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey.

The children’s story follows a boy from a wealthy background who lives at Castle Trump.

In the book, he’s guided by a man named Don, who pushes Baron to explore beyond his sheltered world—eventually leading him into a fantastical adventure through mysterious underground realms.

While the story itself isn’t about time travel, people online have latched onto the similarities in names and details, using them to fuel the claim that the real-life Barron has some kind of time-traveling power.

Jake asked Kai directly about the theory, mentioning Lockwood’s book as part of the discussion.

He asked: “Is Barron Trump a time traveler?”

“No, he’s not,” Kai replied. “I’m sure. […] I’ve seen some stuff on TikTok. He’s not, don’t worry.”

Jake then followed up with another question: “So you don’t think that book proves we’re in a simulation?”

“Maybe. I don’t go down those rabbit holes,” the 18-year-old said. “I stay out of that.”

Kai isn’t the only member of the family to address the rumor—Lara Trump, who is married to Eric Trump, has also commented on it.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Lara tackled the topic directly and even titled the episode ‘Is Barron Trump a Time Traveler’.

Echoing Kai’s earlier remarks, the president’s daughter-in-law said: “Barron Trump is not a time traveller. Sorry to say it.”

Lara continued: “I think the theory’s crazy, obviously. But, listen, that should show you out there just how much really crazy stuff exists, okay?

“Name me one time traveler. Name me one person who can actually say that that’s a real thing. It doesn’t exist.”

She reiterated her point: “I’ve known Barron 18 years. He is not a time traveler.”
