Donald Trump offered a surprisingly upbeat reaction after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen arriving in Florida with their dog at the recently renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport.
Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs star recently married in a lavish New York ceremony that quickly became one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year.
According to reports, roughly 1,000 guests attended the July 3 celebration at Madison Square Garden, with a star-studded guest list that included Adam Sandler, Gigi Hadid, Eric Stonestreet and Selena Gomez.
The airport where the couple’s latest arrival was spotted had only just been officially renamed earlier this month, adding another layer of intrigue to the already viral sighting.
Since the wedding, attention has shifted to the couple’s newest companion: a small white dog spotted traveling with them.
In recent days, the newlyweds were photographed stepping off Swift’s private jet in Palm Beach, where the dog was also seen alongside them.
Because Swift has long been associated with being a cat lover, the appearance of a dog has caught plenty of fans off guard.
The pup has sparked speculation online ever since fans first noticed a fluffy white dog in photos from the couple’s travels, with some believing the mystery pet may have already been part of their inner circle for weeks.
TMZ previously reported that Swift had been seen earlier this year with a fluffy dog, and some reports have suggested the pet may even have had a role in the couple’s wedding.
Trump responded after a news item about the dog’s arrival in Palm Beach was shared on Truth Social. Despite his history of criticizing Swift, he seemed charmed by the pet.
“So cool!!!”
That warmer reaction did not appear to extend to the wedding itself. Trump and the White House account appeared to poke fun at Swift and Kelce after images circulated showing a large ‘JUST&T MARRIED’ sign on the exterior of Madison Square Garden.
Trump’s team altered the image so the display instead read ‘TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT’.
“IT’S HAPPENED!!!”
His past comments about Swift have been far less complimentary. In August last year, Trump praised registered Republican Sydney Sweeney in a Truth Social post while attacking Swift as ‘woke’.
“Just look at Woke singer Taylor Swift. Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can’t stand her (HATE!).
“She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT.”
