Vanessa Hudgens has recently become a mother, and while she’s ecstatic about her new role, she’s not pleased with the paparazzi. The beloved actress from “High School Musical” and “The Princess Switch” was photographed by paparazzi as she left the hospital after giving birth, a moment she wished to keep private.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Hudgens shared that despite the unwanted attention, she, her newborn, and her husband, baseball star Cole Tucker, are all doing well. “We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media,” Hudgens expressed her frustration.
The new mother was pictured in a wheelchair, cradling her baby, covered in a blanket, as she exited the hospital. Tucker was right behind her, supporting his family during this significant moment. This birth comes shortly before Tucker celebrated his own birthday on July 3, turning 28.
Just a day before, on July 4, Hudgens took to social media to celebrate her husband of seven months, sharing, “Happy birthday to my slice of heaven @cotuck. You make the world a brighter place just by being you.”
The couple, who tied the knot in December 2023, are both first-time parents. Hudgens’s ex-boyfriend and “High School Musical” co-star Zac Efron recently commented on her parenting potential to Access Hollywood, alongside their fellow Disney alum Ashley Tisdale, who is also expecting. “Oh they’re going to be the best moms ever, those girls. Are you kidding me? Oh my gosh, we’re going to have some fun family reunions coming up,” Efron excitedly predicted.
Additionally, Hudgens is looking forward to sharing her filmography with her child, including her latest project “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.” She told E! News, “I’ll show my kids all my work. That’s why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.”
Despite the paparazzi’s intrusion, Hudgens is focused on the joy of her growing family and her continuing career, ensuring her child has a rich collection of her works to enjoy as they grow up.
